Thank you to HCR @holyculturerecords and IMB @Institute for Music Business for the experience, the 1 year contract to complete 8-10 songs, and everyone who supported me along the way 🙏🏽🥳
How you start doesn’t have to be how you finish. You’d never guess that I was voted class quietest in High School 🏫. Somewhere along the way I had courage & faith enough to trust that, with God, my gifts could be used to share my testimony through music and it has. Grateful is an understatement 🙌🏽✨
Embarking on a journey of self-expression through music can be daunting, especially when it means stepping out from behind a reserved personality. Like many artists, I never imagined that my quiet nature in school would evolve into a bold creative voice. Working with Holy Culture Records and the Institute for Music Business has truly been a life-changing experience. Recording my album primarily at home with tools like the OSMO Pocket 3 made the creative process intimate and personal. Balancing songwriting, recording, and family life—especially as a stay-at-home mom—required discipline and support. My husband’s encouragement, both spiritually and financially, has been instrumental during this journey. One important lesson I've learned is that behind every artist’s public image, there is a private life filled with everyday responsibilities and moments that shape their art. From preparing meals and doing laundry to getting my son ready for school, these routines are part of my story. Celebrating small personal successes, such as my husband's graduation and rebaptism, adds richness to my life and motivation to keep pushing forward. We cherish family time with trips to places like Disney and pumpkin patches, moments that inspire my music and remind me of what’s truly important. This journey has deepened my faith and strengthened my courage to share not just my music but my authentic self with the world. I’m grateful to everyone who supported me along the way, proving that how you start doesn't have to dictate how you finish. For anyone hesitant to pursue their dreams, remember that faith, courage, and support can transform quiet beginnings into powerful stories worth telling through art.
