As a #roadtripmama, I’m always on the hunt for those hidden gems and fun day trips that make a journey truly special, and Missouri is already delivering! Our morning started bright and early, fueled by a much-needed stop at Scooter's Coffee. Seriously, for any parent juggling multiple kids and suitcases, that first cup of coffee is pure gold. It’s those little moments of normalcy, like grabbing a delicious latte, that help kick off the day's adventures with a smile. I saw the 'EST. 1998' sign and instantly felt that reliable, comforting vibe – perfect for setting the tone for our exploration of the Show-Me State. We spent the rest of the day diving into some of the cool things to do in Missouri. It's fascinating just how much character each town holds. We stumbled upon a quaint little area that reminded me of what you'd expect from the charming Caulfield cafes mentioned by friends – buzzing with local life and the aroma of fresh pastries. It’s always my goal to find those authentic spots, not just the big tourist traps. These are the places that truly show you what Missouri is known for, beyond just the highways. One of the biggest joys of these adventures in Missouri is seeing the kids' faces light up. Whether it's a roadside attraction we never planned for, or a scenic overlook that offers breathtaking views, every moment feels like a discovery. We definitely made sure to find some activities to do that catered to everyone, from a quick stop at a local park to stretch our legs, to simply enjoying the drive through the varying landscapes. For other #momofmultiples out there, remember that sometimes the simplest pleasures are the best! As we plan our next few day trips in Missouri, I’m keeping an eye out for more unique spots. I've heard great things about the historical sites and natural beauty that make up many of the state's vacation spots. While we didn't need a tire shop today, it's always good to know that reliable services like Big O Tire in Sedalia MO are available for any unexpected road trip hiccups. And for those who prefer a more structured experience, I know there are great local tour companies, much like USA Tours Inc Rolla tours, that can guide you through the best of what's in Missouri. Day one was just a taste, and I can't wait to see what other wonderful experiences await us as we continue to explore where to visit in Missouri. This state truly has something for everyone, and it's been an incredibly fun start to our journey!
