POV: I’m becoming a bilingual, remote SAHM
POV: I’m becoming a bilingual, remote SAHM — and I’m documenting everything. Follow for the journey. #remote #SAHM
Becoming a bilingual, remote stay-at-home mom (SAHM) is a unique and rewarding experience that blends personal growth with family responsibilities. From my daily schedule, I've found that balancing designated work hours, study sessions, and family time requires a consistent structure and a lot of flexibility. For example, dedicating a focused 3-hour window for work early in the afternoon allows me to maintain productivity without sacrificing moments with my children. Incorporating language learning into this routine has been both challenging and fun. I usually allocate time in the evening for studying the new language, typically after dinner. This not only improves my bilingual skills but also sets a great example for my kids about lifelong learning. Using mini vlogs or journaling daily activities helps me reflect on progress and stay motivated. Scheduling is crucial; keeping track of activities with bookmarks and reminders ensures I stay on top of commitments while managing household duties. Achieving milestones, such as scoring 90% on language exercises, provides encouraging motivation and shows that consistent effort pays off. Adapting to remote work means creating a home environment that supports focus during work hours but easily transitions into quality family time. To other SAHMs considering this path, I'd advise setting realistic goals, embracing a flexible mindset, and celebrating small wins. This journey not only enhances language skills but enriches personal and family life in ways I never expected.
