Trail, Chapter 7: The Unnumbered Man
# Strong Light Creator Molding Mission
At 9: 02 a.m.
Dark gray clouds began to gather above the mountain line.
The sunshine that used to be aligned was obscured until the forest looked dull.
The cold wind blows stronger.
The smell of rain always floats before it.
It smells cold, like wet iron.
Mixed with the smell of fresh leaves sunburned all morning.
On the ridge, the field staff's shouts rang periodically.
Like a shockwave.
"This way!"
"Give me some water!"
"Careful, slip!"
The servant and Krishna ran down from the break.
The way is getting narrower and narrower.
From red soil to gray stone
Some ranges have green moss, perched into oily sheets.
Slippery like fish oil
The shoes hit the rocks loudly.
The breath of the surrounding runners is getting heavier and heavier.
But these two can still control the rhythm
Only now.
No one's running for time.
Everyone is running for answers.
Kilometer 26
The crash site is in a rock basin by a dry stream.
The water is only a small, numb basin.
Locked along the rock groove.
The floor around is damp.
The smell of fresh mud is so strong that it can almost taste.
The leaves were trampled.
There are dozens of shoe marks mixed together.
Three field officers stood surrounded.
The expression is tense.
Some runners stood thatched quietly.
Some whispered softly.
The first sound of rain began to fall.

Down on the leaves.
The huntsman pushed into see
And then interruption.
The man lying unconscious on the floor.
Is the same person he saw talking to Krishna
Gray wide brim hat drop beside body
The glasses are broken in half.
Dark green long sleeve, wet, sweaty until attached
There's really no running number.
No timing chips.
There's nothing that says it's a contestant.
Only muddy cladding shoes.
The same shoes that the huntsman found in the forest
His heart immediately twitched.
Definitely the same person
The subsequent Krishna came to a standstill.
Just a second.
But the hunter clearly saw
His pupils shrunk.
Tight jaw
Before the face comes back smooth like nothing happened.
Too fast for the average person to catch.
But not fast enough for the hunters.
"Who is he?"
The servant asked quietly.
The field officer shook his head.
"I don't know. Suddenly I found him lying here."
"Breathing?"
"Stay but very light."
The servant knelt down.
The stone floor is cold, damp until the cold seeps through the pants.
He touched the man's neck.
Light pulse
Dance unevenly
There's a strange smell floating out of the breath.
Not liquor.
Not blood.
But like the smell of bitter herbs
Like crushed roots
He slid his eyes down.
There are very small needle marks in the throat.
Almost invisible.
Like being stabbed by something
"Not fainting."
The servant speaks softly.
The rain is getting heavier.
The raindrops hit the bedrock loudly.
The runners began to retreat under the tree.
But the hunter has not moved
His eyes scavenged around.
And then stopped at the unconscious man's left hand.
Hold on.
Unnaturally tight.
He slowly pry out one inch at a time.
Nails are full of black clay.
Like just digging something.
In the palm, a small piece of clear plastic is attached.
The size of a thumb nail.
One corner has a faint red print.

The huntsman frowned.
Still not thinking
One sound rang behind.
Krishna voice
Low and hard.
"Don't mess with that."
The servant immediately turned back.
The rain flows through Krishna's face in a late way.
His eyes are never the same anymore.
Not the runner's eyes.
But it's the eyes of people who know how important that piece of plastic is.
Important enough to cause death
Strong winds blew the leaning treetops.
Thunder roared from the other side.
Like the whole mountain is moving
The hunter clutched the plastic debris.
Then ask slowly
"Do you know it?"
Krishna looked at him straight.
Quiet.
One second.
Two seconds.
Three seconds.
Before saying one word
. "..More than you think. "
And that was the first time.
That Krishna agreed to open the secret door a little
Just enough for the hunter to see the darkness inside.
