Smash or Pass: Florida Beach Towns
Florida is my favorite state in the US and I’ve been able to visit many of the different beach towns! Today I’m bringing you my rating of all of them ;)
-Jacksonville 8/10. This spot is not touristy, so it’s cheap with free parking and feels homey, BUT the water isn’t the best for swimming so I have to deduct points
- Key West 11/10. If you’re looking for ultimate quaint Caribbean vibes, this is the place for you. There’s lots of things to see and do and amazing seafood to eat! A couple cons are that it is a bit expensive and the beaches aren’t the best
-Miami 14/10. Miami will always have a special place in my heart. The tropical vibes go harddd, the water is crystal clear, and there are so many cutie cafes to try! The only downside is the traffic and it can be a lil sketch
- Marco Island 6/10. Even though this spot has good beaches with great shelling and clear water, I felt like there wasn’t a whole lot to do and ended up getting pretty bored on this trip
-Jupiter 13/10. This beach town doesn’t feel touristy at all which I love. It’s home to my favorite coffee shop and has lots of beautiful beaches! The only con I can think of is that it mightttt get boring if you were there long enough
- Key Largo 7/10. The two best things about key largo are that it’s close to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park (the best snorkeling in the us) and is the best launching point for a road trip through the keys! However, it’s not as vibey as the other keys and there’s no good beaches
- St. Augustine 9/10. St. Augustine is STUNNING. one of the quaintest beach towns in Florida in my opinion. There’s lots of history, good food, and shopping here. But it is crowded so parking is difficult and the water at the beach is brownish
