My boyfriend says “you’re too emotional”
Every time I try to open up to my boyfriend about my feelings, he tells me, “You’re too emotional.” 😔 I honestly don’t get it — isn’t sharing feelings supposed to be part of a healthy, romantic relationship? I’m not yelling, I’m not overreacting, I’m just trying to be honest and communicate. But instead of listening or comforting me, he shuts me down, making me feel like expressing myself is a problem. 💔 It’s leaving me questioning whether I’m being too sensitive or if his reaction is the real issue. Shouldn’t love and romance involve empathy and understanding? I want to feel safe to share my feelings without being judged or criticized. How do you handle a partner who dismisses your emotions instead of supporting you?

No one who cares about you would say this. If someone cared they would be there for you and your feelings.
