😢🙏🏽🕊️11 Years…..Since Daddy’s Untimely Passing!🕊️🙏🏽😢

🙏🏽😢 It’s been 11 years since the Untimely Passing Of You Daddy.

No year gets easier and it won’t ever.

Still fighting for your justice and it will come soon.

I think about you every single day.

A few days ago I had a Dream about you.

Each time you visit me in my Dreams I’m grateful.

My heart won’t be able to fathom some form of peace or contentment until justice is won for you.

Trust me when I say that I’m working hard to get your justice.

Looking at your picture everyday helps me know that I was once loved unconditionally.

That no matter what I try to live each day with purpose.

Each year with intention and grace. Understanding that God only knows how much I miss and love you deeply than the depths of life. Until then Rest in Eternal Heaven Daddy. 😢🙏🏽

... Read moreIt's true what they say; grief doesn't get easier, you just learn to carry it differently. Eleven years might seem like a long time to some, but for those of us who have lost a parent, it can feel like yesterday and a lifetime all at once. My journey without my dad has been a complex one, filled with moments of deep sorrow and surprising strength. One of the most profound ways I've learned to cope is by keeping his memory alive in tangible ways. I often find myself looking at old photos, reminiscing about the good times. It’s like a 'big piece of my heart lives in Heaven,' as the saying goes, and cherishing those memories helps me feel connected. Sometimes, I even write 'Letters to my Dad in Heaven,' pouring out my thoughts, feelings, and updates on my life. It's a way to continue our conversation, to tell him how much I 'miss you, Dad,' and to feel his presence, even if it's just in my imagination. This practice has been incredibly therapeutic, turning silent longing into an active form of remembrance. I've also discovered that finding purpose in his memory can be incredibly healing. My dad was my rock, often 'the calm in the chaos, the steady in the storm,' and his unconditional love still guides me. This ongoing fight for justice I mentioned isn't just about legal battles; it's about honoring his legacy, ensuring his story is heard, and finding a form of peace that truly resonates with what he stood for. It’s about channeling that pain into something meaningful, something he would be proud of. Every step I take, every goal I achieve, feels like a way to keep his spirit vibrant in my life. Dreams have also been a beautiful, comforting part of this long grieving process. When he visits me in my dreams, it feels so real, like a fleeting reunion that briefly mends that 'piece of my heart' that's always aching. These moments remind me that love transcends even death, offering a unique type of connection that grounds me. For anyone out there experiencing the profound 'loss of parents,' especially after many years, know that your feelings are valid. It's okay for grief to resurface, to have days where it feels like '11 years since you passed away dad' was just yesterday. What I've learned is that it's okay to not be okay, but it's also important to find healthy ways to carry that love forward. Whether it's through storytelling, creating a personal memorial, volunteering for a cause they believed in, or simply living each day with the intention and grace they inspired, keeping their spirit alive is a testament to the enduring love you share. It's a way to honor them, not just with tears, but with the strength and purpose they instilled in us. Our loved ones may be in heaven, but their influence remains deeply rooted in our hearts.
