Sometimes it don’t take spending money on more product to have better retention
Maybe you just have to tweak a few things!
As a lash artist, I've found that the secret to better retention often lies not in buying more expensive products but in understanding and controlling your environment. Humidity and temperature play a crucial role in how well lash extensions adhere and last on your clients. From my experience, maintaining an optimal humidity level of around 40-60% in your workspace helps the adhesive cure properly without becoming too brittle or staying sticky for too long. Similarly, room temperature ideally should be kept between 70-75°F (21-24°C) to ensure the glue sets correctly. Too much heat or cold can interfere with the adhesive’s bonding process. Another helpful tip is to monitor these conditions throughout your appointments because sudden changes can affect retention rates. I use a simple hygrometer and thermostat to keep track, adjusting the room’s humidifier or air conditioning as needed. Sometimes, slight tweaks in your technique combined with controlling environmental factors can significantly extend lash wear for your clients. This approach saves money on products and enhances customer satisfaction by delivering longer-lasting results. If you’re struggling with retention despite using quality products, consider evaluating your workspace’s humidity and temperature. Tweaking these elements along with your application method may be the key to unlocking better retention without extra costs.
