I've always loved their sassy, coordinated look and decided it was time to bring one to life myself. If you've been thinking about making one, trust me, it's totally doable and super rewarding. Shoes: Black ballet flats or low heels work perfectly. My DIY Process & Tips: Finding the Base Dress: I started by looking for a simple A-line dress pattern. If sewing from scratch feels daunting, search thrift stores for a dress in your color that you can modify. I found a plain blue dress that just needed some adjustments to the neckline and length. Crafting the Apron: This was surprisingly easy! I cut out a rectangular piece for the main apron, then a long, narrow strip for the waistband.
