Things I’ve learned…

These are some of the things that I had to instill in my own brain as I went through the journey of motherhood/parenthood. I did not have a tribe, or a lot of people who I could depend on, or who taught me… But I can safely say that my child has the best life he could have, and he is loved beyond what I ever thought was possible.

Life is a parent is messy, and sometimes ugly, but there are some beautiful parts. I hope that you have beautiful and wonderful moments.

XOXO, LC

... Read moreBeing a single mother presents its own unique challenges, but it also teaches us invaluable lessons that can shape us and our children positively. 1. **Self-Care**: Prioritizing your well-being is crucial. By ensuring you take time for yourself, you not only boost your mental and physical wellness but also model healthy habits for your child. This can include anything from indulging in a spa day to simply enjoying a quiet moment with a book. 2. **Patience is Key**: Parenting requires a well of patience. Understanding that children don’t always grasp things immediately is significant. They are exploring their world and will have many questions. Taking a step back to give them grace allows for more loving interactions. 3. **Embrace Changing Friendships**: As life faces new challenges, your social circles may shift. It's essential to nurture relationships that uplift you and your child. Building a supportive tribe can help you feel less isolated and create a network of love for your family. 4. **Everything Will Be Okay**: The overwhelming feelings in parenting are common, but remember that hard work leads to bright outcomes. Acknowledging that challenges are temporary can help ease everyday stress. 5. **So What?**: Embrace your unique situation. Being a single parent does not define your worth. Focus on what you can provide for your child and recognize that you’re doing a fantastic job, regardless of societal pressures. In conclusion, motherhood, especially as a single mom, is a journey filled with growth and learning. Each experience enriches both your and your child’s lives.

Things I’ve Learned as a New Motorcycle Rider
1) Buy a motorcycle that a) won’t break the bank and b) is something that you feel comfortable riding on. You might see some newer riders buying a Ducati for $32K (unlikely, but it’s happened), or you might see a new rider going for a Yamaha R1 or a bike that exceeds anything beyond 700CC.

things i’ve learned to love about myself
1- being a “band kid” i was bullied everyday in high school and middle school for being in the marching band. everyone called me a band kid. when people think of band kids, they think of you as a nerd, unattractive, annoying, etc. now, i get to major in jazz and do the thing i love as a career. m
