I GAVE BIRTH 💙 | 6/12/24

I can honestly say I am completely happy with the way my labor went.

With my first pregnancy, labor was a complete force. My body wasn’t ready at all and it felt like I got my ass beat. Being induce is terrible. I will always tell people I do not be induce. I went in to be induced at 5pm, I didn’t have my son till the next day at 8:06pm.

With this pregnancy, I was in labor for 12 hours. I labored at home for 9 hours. My contractions were strong but not consistent. Soon as they became consistent I went to the hospital. I was 4cm when I arrived at 7am. (Contractions was crazy 😭) I had my son at 10:54am. All natural. No epidural or any other pain substitution.

Even with the pain of the contractions, those natural contractions didn’t hurt no where near as bad as the induced contractions.

Gave birth to my healthy baby teddy of 8.5lbs with no tears or stitches.

Boy mom of two 💙💙

... Read moreChildbirth can be an incredibly transformative experience, and for many, the type of labor chosen plays a critical role in how they perceive the journey. Many women, like myself, often share contrasting experiences between induced and natural labor. Induced labor is generally seen as more intense and challenging due to synthetic hormones prompting contractions before the body is fully prepared, often leading to longer and more painful experiences. In contrast, natural labor usually allows for gradual progression, permitting the body to follow its rhythm. It's noteworthy that many health professionals recommend laboring at home for as long as possible, as it can lead to a more comfortable birth experience, as my personal journey highlights. Benefits of this approach include a familiar environment, less stress, and more opportunities to manage pain with movement and relaxation techniques. The importance of having a birth plan that considers all elements—pain management options, support systems, and personal goals—cannot be overstated. Many mothers also advocate for the benefits of skin-to-skin contact and immediate bonding experiences post-delivery for breastfeeding success and emotional well-being. With each child's birth, stories often inspire others, emphasizing the need for support from friends, family, and healthcare providers. As we continue to share these narratives, they remind us of the collective strength and resilience women embody throughout the beautiful experience of childbirth. 💖
