Things to do in Singapore this week (3-7 Dec)

... Read moreIf you're a fan of music and arts festivals, Sing60 Music Festival on Dec 6-7 at Fort Canning Park is a can’t-miss event. Featuring multiple stages and stellar local talents like Benjamin Kheng, Shye, and Iman Fandi, it’s a vibrant celebration of Singapore’s 60 years of music culture. I personally found the atmosphere electric and loved how the festival showcased a great blend of genres and styles, making it perfect for diverse music tastes. For those looking to get into the holiday spirit early, the Design Assembly Christmas Market is held on Dec 3-4 inside the charming CHIJMES chapel. With over 40 independent brands selling unique Christmas gifts, it’s a lovely place to find thoughtful presents while enjoying the festive vibe in a beautiful historic setting. Art enthusiasts should not miss the Cinderella ballet performance running from Dec 4-7 at the Esplanade Theatre. This local production breathes new life into the classic fairy tale with enchanting choreography and a talented local creative team. Watching it felt truly magical, a great way to enjoy the performing arts scene. Also, the Margaret Market Festival from Dec 5-7 at 38 Margaret Drive offers a unique year-end reset experience. There are activities like ice baths, yoga sessions, and creative arts workshops that refresh both mind and body. Attending this festival added a refreshing break to my busy week and helped me reconnect with wellness practices. Overall, the week from Dec 3-7 is packed with richly diverse activities spanning music, arts, markets, and wellness, perfectly capturing the vibrant spirit of Singapore at year-end. Whether you want to dive into culture, pick up unique gifts, or unwind creatively, there’s something memorable for everyone.
