Baby Purées How do you make yours from scratch?

So far I’ve made strawberry and banana purées for my 6 month old. He has a dairy allergen and can only tolerate a special kind of formula but I feel like it would not taste good to mix the formula in? What are your thoughts?

Start with simple fruits like bananas and strawberries, which are nutritious and easy to blend. For vegetables, consider sweet potatoes and peas, which provide essential vitamins. Always introduce new foods one at a time to monitor for any allergic reactions, especially crucial if your baby has known allergies like dairy. If you’re concerned about mixing formula into your purées, consider using breast milk or water to achieve the desired consistency. You can freeze purées in ice cube trays for easy portioning, providing quick mealtime solutions. As your baby grows, you can introduce new flavors, creating a diverse palate that can help prevent picky eating later on. I make my snack pouches mostly from scratch. I do buy a few premade pouches because it’s easier for on the go then I don’t have to worry about them being refrigerated. But otherwise, we do table food

When I was making purées for my littles I would buy fruits or veggies from the store (usually frozen) and then steam them, then I'd add to our blender and blend them up just like that. You normally have to add a little water to get the right consistency, so I would add it in just a bit at a time until it got how I wanted it 😊
