... Read moreFrom my own experience, I realized that the workplace environment has a profound influence on how we perceive ourselves and our capabilities. In toxic workplaces, it's common to start doubting your worth, wondering if you're too sensitive or if your expectations are unreasonable. These feelings are not reflections of reality but stem from repeated exposure to negative behaviors and lack of support. What surprised me most was how a healthier work environment didn’t just change my day-to-day tasks—it transformed how I felt about myself. Respect, communication, and trust in the workplace should be basic expectations, not rare privileges. When I switched to a positive workplace culture, I regained confidence that my standards were reasonable and my professional identity was intact. This change gave me permission to be authentic and reminded me that feeling valued and understood at work is essential to personal and career growth. If you've ever left a job and found that your self-belief shifted, you’re not alone. Sometimes, changing jobs isn’t about changing who you are, but about unlocking the person you were meant to become all along.

The stories we become 🚶🏾‍♀️
This quote is part of my poetry. I wrote it because sometimes parents judge other people’s children and label them as ‘bad’ without fully understanding what they’re going through. For example, imagine someone smoking—some parents may use that person as the worst example, forgetting that they

The stories we tell ourselves
The stories we tell ourselves become the lenses through which we interpret reality. When we become aware of our own perspective, we gain the ability to ask a powerful question: "Am I discovering reality... or becoming increasingly skilled at finding evidence for the model I already have?&

The Stories We Tell Ourselves Shape Our Reality
Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “I’m not good enough,” “I’ll never be successful,” or “I’m just not the kind of person who can change”? These thoughts feel real, but they’re just stories we tell ourselves. And the more we repeat them, the more they shape our reality. The mind is power

The Stories We Tell Ourselves
We all have stories we tell ourselves—about who we are, what we’re capable of, and why change feels impossible or just out of reach. Some of these narratives were handed to us in childhood, shaped by experiences, failures, or even offhand comments from others. “I’ve always been this way.” “I’m

Photos survive. Stories don’t.
Every family loses names faster than photographs. In fact, if you don’t actively tell your story, there’s a good chance your name and face will be forgotten within just a few generations. That might sound surprising, but it’s true. Photographs can survive for decades, even centuries. The stories be

Some stories don’t just entertain—they hold up a mirror. Reading The House of Eve by Sadeqa Johnson pulled me into the lives of two Black women in the 1950s… but what hit me most wasn’t the drama. It was how society treated women who became mothers outside of marriage—and how echoes of that sham
