Kids use natural objects such as leaves, sticks, and acorns to design intricate mazes or racetracks. This encourages problem-solving as children test how different objects move through their custom pathways, boosting their engineering skills in a nature-inspired setting. The apple tower challenge is an exciting way to explore principles of balance and structural design. Using apples and toothpicks, children try to build the tallest and most stable tower. It's a delicious and educational twist that combines physics with a healthy snack! Pumpkin boat races add a splash of fun to STEM learning. By hollowing out small pumpkins or gourds and placing them in water, kids experiment with buoyancy, balance, and design as they race their handcrafted boats.
