I Didn't Change Overnight… But I did Change ✨💪🏾
When I started this journey, I was prediabetic, anemic, avoiding photos, and avoiding myself. I knew something had to change, so I got a trainer and promised I wouldn’t quit on me.
Almost a year later, I realized I wasn’t sharing my progress because I was only focused on the scale, not the growth. I battled comparison, doubt, and body dysmorphia… but I never stopped showing up.
Now I’m choosing grace. Choosing honesty. This is more than a physical accomplishment — it’s mental, emotional, spiritual, and everything in between. It’s progress, not perfection. So whenever you see me in the gym just know, I’m choosing me.
I’m proud of me 💪🏽✨

Starting a fitness journey when faced with challenges like prediabetes and anemia can feel overwhelming—but it's important to remember that change is a process that unfolds over time. Building a routine, such as becoming a 5AM gym mom, often requires patience and resilience. Early mornings spent at the gym not only foster physical strength but also contribute to mental clarity and emotional balance. Progress is rarely linear, and the temptation to focus on the scale alone can undermine the bigger picture of growth. Battling body dysmorphia and comparison is common, yet showing up consistently can build self-trust and foster a healthier relationship with one’s body. It’s key to value grace and honesty in this process by recognizing every small win as part of a holistic journey. Beyond the physical transformation, fitness journeys deeply impact the mental and spiritual self. Choosing to keep going despite setbacks reflects an empowering mindset shift—one that prioritizes progress over perfection. Sharing authentic experiences helps break stigma around fitness struggles and inspires others to adopt a mindset of self-compassion. Embarking on this path means celebrating incremental breakthroughs and redefining success beyond the numbers. Ultimately, it’s about choosing you: embracing growth, choosing grace, and honoring your commitment to better health inside and out. This approach creates lasting, meaningful change that sustains beyond any gym session or quick fix.
