Little nostalgia filled website update!
I re-upped my website y’all. 🥹
I’ve been in my feels about potentially losing TikTok and lemon8— so I wanted my own cozy space of the internet where I could kinda just keep curating the same content I was seeing on the apps. I’m tired of the internet feeling formal and crazily sanitized so I simply CANNOT go back to ig or something yall. 😭
I wanna have fun and be silly. If any of you all have your own websites lmk because we can link to each other. 💛💛
If you stop by mine make sure you say hi!!!
Honestly, that feeling of potentially losing platforms like TikTok and Lemon8 really hit home. It made me realize how much we rely on these third-party spaces, and how quickly they can change or even disappear. That’s why I felt such a strong pull to 'reject modernity' in a way, and 'embrace tradition' by going back to basics: my own personal website. For me, it’s not about being anti-social media, but about having a digital home that truly feels like mine. It's a space where I control the narrative, the content, and the vibe. There’s something incredibly freeing about not having to worry about ever-changing algorithms or the pressure to perform for an audience. Instead, I can just focus on creating and sharing what I love, in a way that feels genuine to me. It's about cultivating a corner of the internet that's less about fleeting trends and more about lasting connections. If you've ever thought about having your own space online, I totally encourage you to 'make a cool website'! You don't need to be a tech wizard. There are so many user-friendly platforms out there that make it easy to set up something beautiful and functional. Think of it as decorating your digital living room – you get to choose everything! What stories do you want to tell? What art do you want to share? What passions do you want to explore? It’s a chance to truly express yourself without the noise and distractions of other platforms. My goal was to create a space that feels cozy and inviting, where people can have 'fun peeking around' at what I'm up to. It’s a place for my creative thoughts, my art, and just a general diary of my digital life. I love the idea of creating a little community there, away from the constant scrolling. It’s where I can link up with other creators who also want to own their digital presence, and where we can support each other in a more meaningful way. It's a commitment to authenticity in a world that often feels anything but.
oh I love this!! it reminds me of the myspace days
