To my kids

That phrase, "I hope you always know your worth," really encapsulates so much of what I feel as a mom. It's more than just words; it’s a foundational belief I want to instill in my children as they navigate life. In today's world, with all its challenges and pressures, it feels more important than ever for our kids to truly understand their own value, their unique strengths, and their inherent goodness. I often reflect on my own journey and the things I accepted, perhaps because I didn't fully understand my worth at times. That’s why I wrote, "I hope you never accept the things I accepted." I want them to be stronger, to have the courage to stand up, not just for themselves but for what is right, always. It’s a powerful lesson, and one I believe starts with a deep sense of self-respect. Teaching them to fight for what is right isn't about physical battles, but about integrity, resilience, and knowing when to speak up or step away from situations that don't serve them. And truly, never settle for less than what you deserve – that's a mantra I live by now and hope they adopt early on. As parents, we constantly strive to guide and protect, but also to empower our children to be independent and confident adults. For me, fostering a sense of self-worth means celebrating their uniqueness, acknowledging their efforts, and providing a safe space for them to make mistakes and learn from them without judgment. It’s about building their confidence brick by brick, through consistent love and affirmation. I want them to know, without a shadow of a doubt, that they are loved unconditionally and that their presence makes my life infinitely better. Being their mother is everything to me; it has transformed me into a person I am proud to be. I am and always grateful to be in your life, my dear kids. This journey of motherhood has taught me so much about strength, patience, and the incredible power of unconditional love. Every day is a new lesson, a new opportunity to show them what it means to be resilient, compassionate, and true to themselves. Whether it’s a heartfelt message in a letter or a moving sentiment in a song, the core idea – knowing your worth – is universal and deeply resonant.
