We'll talk about outfits, locations, and the kind of emotions we want to convey. Then comes the glam squad! Hair and makeup artists work their magic, transforming the look to fit the theme. It’s always fascinating to see their artistry – sometimes they nail it perfectly on the first try, and other times it's a collaborative process of tweaking until it’s just right. Getting ready is often one of the most exciting parts, building up the anticipation for the shoot itself. Once we’re on set, whether it’s a studio or an outdoor location, the energy is always buzzing. The photographer will guide me through different poses, angles, and expressions to get the shot they're envisioning. It's a constant dance between taking direction and bringing my own interpretation to the character or mood. There are often lighting adjustments, prop changes, and quick outfit swaps – it can be a whirlwind! What you don't always see are the little adjustments, like someone holding a reflector just out of frame, or the team laughing between takes. Those candid moments really make the shoot fun and help everyone relax into the creative flow. Sometimes there are unexpected challenges, like a sudden change in weather or a prop not behaving, but the team always works together to find a solution. It's a true team effort, and every single person, from the assistant to the creative director, plays a crucial role in bringing the vision to life. After hours of shooting, when we finally get those last frames, there's such a sense of accomplishment. It's incredible to look back and see all the hard work that went into producing a few stunning images.
