tattoos i want 🌻
heyy!! i have the urge to rant about the tattoos i've been wanting for a while, so the caption is gonna be a lot longer than i usually do. i got too many thoughts in this head and they need to be let out!!!!
🪲 i've wanted the flower on my sternum for a WHILE now. i've been hesitant because i have a mole on the center of my chest that i really like and i don't want anything to compromise it/cover it up 😭 but i think having a lily of the valley would be nice; funnily enough i want the lily of the valley most because i associate it with animal crossing. when you've created the "best" town or island in the game, they reward you by growing lily of the valley flowers. i always ended up getting them when i still wasn't finished with the game, but it was always a nice surprise where the game says "hey! you're doing great!" and i feel like i need that reminder for myself sometimes 😭
🪲 ahh the cat tattoo, i really want something to commemorate my childhood cat ash 🫶 though again i'm kinda hesitant because he's a dark grey cat and i haven't seen a ton of tattoos that do that well? i don't want it to look like a cover-up or anything 😭 especially because the subject matter is so important to me, i wanna make sure it's done right y'know?? i just want to do some extra artist research before i commit to it
🪲 i just think the sword on the spine looks sick,, with the little flowers wrapped around it?? yes please 😩 although i worry about the pain level of this one and the guarantee that the tattoo artist i'm gonna visit for this one is gonna Cry because of the straight lines,, but that's why the flowers are there so it isn't as nerve-wracking?? hopefully??
🪲 i love the lettering above the knees look, this one is another one that i think looks sick but i worry about the pain level too 😭 it doesn't help that i have arthritis on my knees already so i think this would Double Suck... but i'd really like "star girl" or "dream girl" as the lettering, star girl specifically because i really liked the book with the same name. i won't go too into the book but i really resonated with stargirl's character, and she was really encouraging to embrace my "inner weird" 🥹 it's definitely something that has a lot of charm and meaning to me and i just think it'd be nice to have
🪲 the bee on the nape was one of the first tattoos i've really thought about but still haven't committed to, bees are silly and i think it'd be cute. but one worry i have about insect tattoos is that someone else won't think it's a tattoo and suddenly i get slapped on the back of my neck because someone thought it was a real bug 😭 i'm also kinda forgetful so i might accidentally scare myself with it too... it's cute in concept though!!
🪲 OKOK i feel like i gotta explain the baby snoopy one because i keep getting snoopy content on my fyp and i don't want it because it's trendy 😭 nothing wrong with that but i had the urge to put that out there!! now for the reasoning: i really want something tattooed on me to represent my journey as a hairstylist. during cosmetology school, i did a lot of murals for the school as "marketing"; a lot of these murals were peanuts/snoopy themed because i felt that was an art style that could resonate with the most age groups (i'm in a town with a LOT of old people so i had to make it work 😭) and i was also encouraged by my classmates, and it was a success! i feel like snoopy has that sentimental value to me and painting those murals helped me gain a lot of confidence while i was still in school. i don't think anything could encapsulate that feeling more than a little snoopy 🥹
🪲 lastly, the hand sparkles!! i've heard about how finger tattoos are (pain-wise and longevity) but they're so pretty 🥹 a part of me thinks it's a touch of sparkle that's wanted in my life, but i definitely won't be getting this one until i get a few tattoos beforehand. as much as i love them, i know getting a hand tattoo when i barely have any tattoos in the first place is Not an ideal plan 🥲 they're so pretty though
