Ever feel like your back is against the wall!? 🥹🫠

This is a safe space Right? 😅

Just asking cause I’m about to dumpppp.

Mentally and physically I’ve just been drained unfortunately 😭. From the outside looking in, it looks like I just have everything together. People swear my finances, education just life in general is all in order but realistically it’s not. I’m told all the time that I make things look easy. But isn’t that what we’re all supposed to do? Or atleast taught how to do?

I feel even worse because there’s so much that I don’t tell my friends or my family about because I never want them worried about me 🥲 but now I’m just at the point of wanting to just tell them everything. But also don’t won’t to tell them anything because I have a fear of being judged and don’t want them asking why I’ve been lying about certain things for so long. The honest truth is I just don’t want people in my business like that when it comes to certain things and I just don’t want them worrying 😅.

Any time I go through or need something, I just deal with it or figure it out on my own. But honestly I’m starting to realize the importance of community and having people around that’s supportive and can contribute/pour into you. The sad thing about it is, I don’t really have that. Lol I have maybe 2 people at most that does that for me including my man and a friend that doesn’t even stay in the same state as me 🥴.

Everyone else around me, I’m constantly pouring into (which don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind it and I LOVEEEE pouring into others, I’m just a natural giver 😩) but when my cup is empty and I have nothing else to pour out it just gets extremely exhausting.

Going from never really working to working 40+ hours a week, managing businesses, trying to be consistent with my fitness journey, maintaining and growing my relationship with God, while also trying to build and main connections with other people!? Omgosh 😳 everything just feels so heavy on me rn and I’m trying to stay strong about it 😅.

I pray and pray but keeping the faith is getting harder and harder. I feel like God is just testing me rn and I’m slowly starting to give in and I hate thatttt.

Because of how drained I am, it’s very difficult for me to do the things I love doing or want to do. It’s hard for me to even get up and clean or just cook 🥴. In my head I tell myself everyday :

“girl you’re tripping, you’re complaining and whining over stuff that people do EVERYDAY. People work 40+ hours a week, stay fit, take care of their kids and stillll able to show up in any other areas of their life.”

Like I try not to make a big deal out of it but truthfully this stuff is hardddd.

Being a 23 year old in today’s time is damn near a joke. Like people are literally out here drowning themselves just to survive. This last month of so, I’ve become very aware with certain habits and patterns that i have that may be making it even more difficult for me to get out of this little funk but I’ll talk about that in a different post 🥴.

And by all means, I am not making this post for anyone to feel sorry or sympathize with me lol. I’m making for others who are going through the same thing that may feel alone in this. If this is something you’re going through as well, please understand and know that you are not aloneee.

Anyone else feeling like this?? If so let’s connect or something 🫂

... Read moreMental and physical exhaustion are increasingly common issues among young adults today. Factors like demanding work schedules, relationship commitments, and self-expectations contribute significantly to this feeling of being overwhelmed. Many individuals face societal pressures that suggest they should effortlessly manage careers, maintain fitness, and foster relationships. However, the reality is often starkly different; countless people secretly find it challenging to cope. In learning to manage stress, recognizing that asking for help shows strength is essential. Building a support network composed of understanding friends and family can alleviate feelings of isolation. Practicing self-care and self-compassion can also be beneficial. Simple practices such as mindfulness, exercise, and scheduled time for hobbies can help recharge emotional and physical reserves. Ultimately, embracing vulnerability and being honest about one's struggles fosters deeper connections and assists others in recognizing that they are not alone in their experiences. It's important to encourage open discussions about mental health, paving the way for a supportive community that uplifts and inspires.
