Is Lemon8 dying?
When I first joined Lemon8 around this time last year, it was so funnnnn 😭! I KNOW people are still active on here because I see new posts popping up and my own content gets a decent amount of views. But what I’ve noticed lately is that people seem to just scroll by—no likes, no comments, nothing! It’s not even just about my posts; I’ve seen it happening to a lot of creators who are putting out solid content 😩.
Every time I open someone’s post, I make sure to at least give them a like because if their cover photo grabbed my attention, it deserves some love! 🤷🏽♀️ I miss the days when this app felt like a real community, where we’d support each other and it felt like a safe space for creators. Now it seems like that sense of connection has faded away.
I always try to respond to every comment I get on my posts, but I’ve noticed that others aren’t doing the same anymore 😭. What’s going on, y’all? I miss the engagement and interaction that used to make this platform feel special. It’s tough seeing creators put out content and not getting anything back except views, especially when we all know the effort that goes into creating.

In recent months, many users have expressed concerns about the declining interaction on Lemon8. The platform that once thrived on mutual support and vibrant community engagement seems to be experiencing a quiet phase. Users have noted a decrease in likes and comments on their posts, which has contributed to an overall sense of disenchantment. It’s important to consider the factors that may be influencing this change. One potential reason could be the influx of new users who may not yet be fully engaged with the platform's community norms. As new trends emerge, older protocols for interacting may not resonate with fresh perspectives. It’s crucial that existing users adapt to encourage new community-building habits. Moreover, algorithm changes can play a significant role in visibility. Posts may not be reaching audiences as effectively as they once did, leading to fewer interactions from followers. Users might also be shifting their attention to other platforms, drawn by new features or user-friendly experiences. Ultimately, fostering a welcoming environment where engagement is prioritized could rekindle the community spirit on Lemon8. Users should be encouraged to interact with one another to restore the camaraderie that originally drew many to the platform. Creating campaigns or challenges that inspire creators to engage more actively could help revive meaningful connections on Lemon8.

I feel like people use it like a Pinterest sort of. I also want to post but never know what to post 😂
