Take Friday, October 10th off to create another four-day weekend with the Monday holiday. A great time for leaf-peeping or a cozy cabin retreat. November Veterans Day (Nov. 8-11): 4 days off with 1 Day PTO! An often-overlooked opportunity! By taking Friday, November 8th off, you can link it to Veterans Day on Monday, November 11th for a four-day break. Thanksgiving Feast (Nov. 22-30): 9 days off with just 3 Day PTO! This is where it gets really good! Take off November 24th, 25th, and 26th (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday before Thanksgiving). With Thanksgiving Thursday and the federal holiday often observed on Friday, you get a full 9 days off. Imagine the possibilities – an international trip, a cross-country visit to family, or just a truly relaxing stay at home. This is a prime example of a fantastic 2025 vacation hack! Epic Christmas & New Year's (Dec. 23-Jan. 4): 13 days off with only 4 Day PTO! The ultimate holiday travel hack! By using just 4 Day PTO (December 23, 24, 26, 27 or strategic days around observed holidays), you can turn the end of 2025 into a massive 13-day vacation extending into early 2026. This is perfect for a dream trip, extended family time, or a complete digital detox. These smart moves are all about maximizing your PTO. I always recommend getting your requests in early, especially for the longer stretches. Start looking at flights and accommodations now, as prices tend to go up. Don't let your vacation days go to waste – make TIME TO 2025 truly count for travel and memories! Happy planning!
