Celebrating my birthday ALMOST alone
Yesterday was my birthday and those who are studying in uni or working away from your family will feel the same. As you guys know, I'm currently studying in uni and I moved out of my family home in order to pursue my education.
Most of the times I enjoy, in fact love being alone. But at times like this, birthday, I kind of wish my family is beside me celebrating the day.
So, yesterday my sister called me out in the morning to visit her in office as she want to pass cooking items that she bought for me. My sister usually not the type to surprise me , so when I went to meet her she gave me this cake and flower pot, I was shocked ofc. But my sister had meeting to attend to, so we part our ways and I went out.
After that, I decided to go to Sunway Pyramid. I heard about Ole Ole Bali, where they give out birthday meal for free. /Ole-Ole Bali, Sunway Pyramid
So I went to check it out, and they in fact had. So they checked my IC just to confirm, it was my birthday and got me seated. The meal didn't come with drink, so I ordered lemongrass mojito which was refreshing and good.
The meal served is a original menu which actually cost around Rm40. The meal consists of Chicken rendang, Grill fish, grill prawn and sotong and lemongrass chicken satay. They gave 2 vegetable dish, 1 sambal, kerepek and rice. It was a lot of food for one person but I enjoyed it anyways because the food was so GOOD.
After that, I went window shopping around Sunway Pyramid and went back home. I didn't plan on buying anything this trip, so I didn't say that long there.
The rest of the day I just watched a couple of YouTube videos and watched a few episodes of anime and went to sleep.
Somehow, I kind of love this birthday cause I didn't have ANY expectation on anything or anyone. Just went about the day as I mostly planned. If my sister didn't surprised me, then it would have been like just a regular day.

Sambutan sederhana bersama kejutan kecil dari keluarga atau rakan boleh menguatkan rasa dihargai walaupun tidak ramai orang di sisi. Saya sendiri belajar menghargai momen kecil seperti kejutan kek dan pokok bunga yang diberikan kakak sebagai tanda perhatian walaupun kami berjauhan. Ingatlah, hari lahir bukan hanya tentang perayaan besar tapi tentang membiarkan diri merasa disayangi dan bersyukur.
