Read moreIn today's fast-paced world and especially during spiritually challenging times like the末法 period, many wonder how to contribute to others' spiritual growth when direct contact is limited or conditions aren’t conducive. I have personally experienced that spreading positive and compassionate messages over the phone or via text can genuinely uplift both the sender and receiver. When we send messages inspired by teachings, such as “观世音菩萨爱我,我爱观世音菩萨” (Guanyin Bodhisattva loves me, and I love Guanyin Bodhisattva), it serves as a gentle reminder and encouragement to maintain faith and kindness, even at a distance. Moreover, online Dharma propagation holds incredible merit. For instance, even sharing or viewing virtuous teachings repeatedly can add to one’s good deeds, as the merit automatically accumulates with each exposure. This aligns with the belief that one saved soul or changed heart counts tremendously, regardless of the medium. Engaging in self-cultivation activities such as meditation, compassionate actions, and life release (放生) also aids in generating positive karma and inner peace. These practices complement outreach efforts and help mitigate the worry of being unable to physically assist others directly. Thus, the key takeaway is that helping others spiritually does not require one’s physical presence or elaborate ceremonies exclusively. Simple, heartfelt communication, consistent self-improvement, and sharing Dharma online are powerful methods that harmonize well to create immense spiritual benefit for oneself and the community.
