WFH VS OFFICE DAYS
Office days look calm on the outside, a tidy desk, a quiet screen, a moment where I can finally finish my task.
WFH days feel… alive. Tiny footsteps, mid-meeting snacks, soft “Mama?”s that tug at my attention. One ear on work, one ear on little moments that can’t be scheduled.
Both are exhausting in their own way. Both ask for a different me.
Some days I miss the quiet of the office.
Some days I miss these little interruptions more than anything.
This phase is teaching me to hold both, to show up at work and show up for my heart at home. Not perfectly. Just fully, honestly and with love. 💪🏻

Navigating the dual worlds of working from home and office life can be both rewarding and challenging for any working parent. From my personal experience, WFH days bring a dynamic blend of professional tasks and spontaneous family moments that often defy any schedule. For example, hearing tiny footsteps or answering a quiet “Mama?” during meetings has become part of my daily rhythm. These interruptions, though sometimes seen as distractions, remind me to cherish the unique flexibility that WFH offers. Conversely, office days provide a structured environment that allows for deep focus and a break from caregiving responsibilities. The calmness and tidiness of the workspace help me finish tasks more efficiently. However, I also find myself missing the lively chaos and warmth of home when I’m at the office. The real balancing act lies in adapting to the contrasting demands each setting requires. Both modes of work are exhausting but in different ways—mental focus for office days and multitasking with emotional presence during WFH. Accepting that neither can be perfect is liberating; instead, showing up with authenticity, love, and full attention to both work and family creates a fulfilling balance. For working parents, integrating both WFH and office days means learning to honor these distinct experiences and understanding the value each brings to your life and work. It’s about embracing the quiet moments and the interruptions, knowing both shape our journey in the #WorkingMomLife. Whether you find joy in a tidy desk or in little family interactions, these days collectively teach resilience and wholehearted presence.
