Easy Yule Log Recipe 🎄
Celebrate the season with this easy and delicious Yule Log recipe! Perfect for spreading festive cheer without the stress. 🎄✨
I put parchment paper in the bottom of a cookie sheet (it MUST have edges, a flat one won’t work)
Then I make a package of devils food cake and spread it in the cookie sheet and bake. Then when it’s still warm, I roll it up and let it cool. Then I unroll it and pipe cool whip on it, rolling and piping as I go, then wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge or freezer. Then I take it out and frost it with two cans of milk chocolate frosting. Put it back in the fridge until ready to serve. Dust with powdered sugar for “snow” and I usually make some holly or poinsettias from red and green candy melts.

Creating a Yule Log is not only about the taste but also the presentation. Start by ensuring your cookie sheet has edges to contain the cake smoothly. As you prepare the devils food cake, consider adding extracts like vanilla or almond for added flavor depth. Once rolled, it can be garnished with festive items like berries or edible glitter for a beautiful touch. Additionally, explore variations on the basic recipe by trying different fillings, such as cream cheese frosting or flavored whipped cream, which can elevate your Yule Log to new levels. Don't forget about the perfect way to showcase this dessert! A simple dusting of powdered sugar will mimic fresh snowfall, creating a stunning contrast against the rich chocolate frosting. With these tips, your Yule Log will not only taste good but also be a showstopper at your holiday table!
