P1 OF DESTROYING

You might have caught some of my 'destroying' clips from ranked Rainbow Six Siege, and while those moments feel amazing, the path to becoming a 'siege champion' is much more than just hitting headshots. I'm currently grinding hard from Silver IV, and I wanted to share some insights I've picked up on this challenging journey, especially for my fellow console players. First off, mindset is crucial. There will be games where you feel like you're 'throwing games,' but don't let those losses get to you. Every round, whether you WON ROUND 2 or barely survived a 3 VS 2, is a learning opportunity. Instead of just focusing on your KILL/DEATH ratio, think about why you won or lost a gunfight. Did you have good positioning? Was your crosshair placement on point? Did your team make the right calls? Analyzing your gameplay, even if it's just mentally after a round, makes a huge difference. Strategy is another massive component. It's not enough to just REINFORCE walls randomly. You need to understand common attack angles and deny them. For instance, on House, knowing where to reinforce in 1F Kitchen or how to deny pushes from 2F House Stairs can completely change a round. Effective BARRICADE placement can funnel attackers into predictable spots. I've found that using my drone effectively during the PREP PHASE to gain intel on opponent positions is far more impactful than just rushing in. Good callouts, like 'enemies pushing from 2F Kids' Dorms' or 'someone in House Lobby', are game-changers. Teamplay is non-negotiable. Even if you're an absolute frag machine, R6 Siege is a team game. Coordinating your pushes (4 VS 2 situations become much easier with teamwork) or holding angles together makes a huge difference. Don't be afraid to help your teammates, even if it means sacrificing your own K/D for the round win. Remember, it's about winning rounds and climbing rank, not just individual stats. A common pitfall I see, and something I'm actively working on, is staying calm under pressure. In those intense 2 VS 1 or 3 VS 2 clutches, it's easy to panic. Taking a deep breath, quickly assessing the situation, and making a decisive move is key. Often, the enemies expect you to rush, so playing it slow and smart can turn the tide. While the OCR sometimes shows 'PC RANK' alongside 'CONSOLE RANK', my focus is currently on the console grind. The meta and playstyles can differ slightly, but the core principles of strategy and teamwork remain universal. Hopefully, these tips help you on your own journey to Ranked glory and maybe even that coveted Champion rank. We're all in this together, pushing for those 'destroying' moments and the ultimate victory!
