Feel-Good Family Movies 📺🎬

1. Mrs. Doubtfire, 1993

⭐️7.1/10

– This is one of my favorite comedies and one of Robin Williams' best performances. I love how Robin Williams plays a woman convincingly without being over the top. This movie shows off a lot of his comedic skills and some of his serious acting chops. Robin Williams will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the greatest actors of all time and one of my biggest acting inspirations. Sally Field, Pierce Brosnan, and the child actors are also really great in this movie. The themes of divorce are handled very well. I wish Robin Williams was still around acting in movies. Rest In Peace, Sir!

2. What About Bob?, 1991

⭐️7.0/10

– Bob Wiley (Bill Murray) is a wacky oddball. Doctor Leo Marvin (Richard Dreyfuss) is a confident NY psychotherapist who is looking forward to a "Good Morning America" appearance to push his book. A colleague pawns Bob off to Leo as a new patient. Bob is immediately attached to Leo and his book's advise of Baby Steps. When Leo tells Bob that he's going on vacation with his family, Bob can't take it and tracks him down. Leo thinks his life is great, but not everything is going as well as he supposes. His townie neighbors hate him. His son is afraid to dive. His daughter hates to be over-analyzed and has normal boy troubles. His wife could do with more consideration from Leo. And worst of all, everybody loves Bob. Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss make for a great odd couple. They are both doing something within their skill sets. Bill Murray is especially wacky in this, and Dreyfuss plays annoyed very well without being completely unlikeable. One could certainly understand Leo's point of view, but it's also obvious how wrong he is.

3. The Addams Family, 1991

⭐️6.9/10

"The Adams Family" is a very funny film that is very under rated. With a great all star cast you get just what you expect, a great comedy. The TV show was already funny enough, and then the movie came and I was on the floor laughing. It's fun to see a happy dysfunctional family. No, I'm not talking about "The Osbornes". All the characters are great and you really get into it. If you can tell me that you honestly did not get one laugh from this film, there is something very wrong with you. Because it is a very funny film. I would recommend this to anyone. It's a good watch on any day.

4. Matilda, 1996

⭐️7.0/10

– Matilda was one of those films that lived in my heart all of these years, because of it's great story perfect cast and pretty good directing from Danny DeVito.

The film tells us a simple story of unusual smart kid who was borne totally different from her own family, for example all her family are lazy and she is smart, they hate reading and only watch TV all the day while Matilda hates Television and loves reading. and the story continues a little bit interesting when she learns how to use her special powers to move things from distance without touching them.

To be honest till this day i still believe that no other kid could do the same amazing job as Mara Wilson who became audience sweetheart since her small role along side the late Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993). she is so sweet, charming, innocent and most important lovely.

5. The Witches, 1990

⭐️6.8/10

– This is the movie adaption you should watch - The Witches from 1990 got more charm, is more enchanting and got the better cast. Yes, the special effects of the new adaption are stronger, but that's it. If you got family time in front of your TV, put Nicolas Roeg's adaption on screen. The Witches 1990 is a great joy ride with some really ugly and mean witches, who get what they deserve. Still great, charming and entertaining with lots of fun ideas. Great classic book by Roald Dahl too.

Did you see this film? Let me know your opinion in the comments! 🤗

... Read moreFeel-good family movies are a great way to bond with loved ones and create lasting memories. In addition to the hilarious antics of Robin Williams in "Mrs. Doubtfire," other classics like "What About Bob?" showcase the joy of comedic misadventures in family dynamics. The Addams Family presents a uniquely quirky take on family life, reminding us that love comes in many forms, even within a dysfunctional clan. "Matilda," based on Roald Dahl's beloved book, brings to life the power of intelligence and kindness, demonstrating that even the smallest among us can have a big impact. Don't forget about the spine-tingling charm of "The Witches," which provides both thrills and laughs, making it an excellent choice for family movie nights. These films, rich in humor and heart, encapsulate the essence of family time and remind us all of the power of love and laughter.
