Books of the Day.
I’m gonna be broke by the end of the day. So many good books. I don’t have the money for these books. Inflation is killing me. #barnes and noble#barnes & noble #buythisdamnbook #book shopping 🛒 #i get mine from a bookstore #books #bookstagram #love
Okay, fellow bookworms, can we talk about the absolute magnetic pull of Barnes & Noble? Every time I step inside, I know my wallet is in for a beating, but my heart just can’t resist. My recent trip was no exception – I walked in telling myself I’d just *browse*, but you know how that goes! The main mission, or at least the main desire that pulled me in, was the buzz around 'Reckless' by Lauren Roberts. If you've been following the fantasy scene, you know this is the highly anticipated sequel to 'Powerless', and finding the Barnes & Noble Exclusive Edition was a huge win! There’s just something extra special about those exclusive covers or bonus content, isn't there? I mean, the cover alone, with its shield and blue petals, is absolutely stunning. It’s got that dark fantasy vibe that promises an enthralling read, and after 'Powerless,' I have high hopes. It's definitely going straight to the top of my TBR pile. But the real challenge isn't just finding that book; it's walking past all the other amazing titles without succumbing. I spent ages just admiring the displays. I spotted the entire 'A Good Girl's Guide to Murder' series by Holly Jackson, including the final novel, 'As Good As Dead.' If you're into thrilling YA mysteries with twists that keep you guessing, this series is an absolute must-read. Nearby, 'One of Us Is Lying' by Karen M. McManus also caught my eye – another fantastic choice for anyone who loves a good high-stakes teen mystery. Then there was the fantasy section, always my downfall! I swooned over a beautiful boxed set of Holly Black’s books, featuring 'The Cruel Prince' and 'The Wicked King.' Her Faerie world is just so captivating. And let's not forget the popular 'Shatter Me' series by Tahereh Mafi; I saw 'Ignite Me,' 'Restore Me,' and 'Imagine Me' all lined up, practically begging to be reread. It’s a series that really pulls you in with its unique prose and intense romance. For those who love a bit of dark romance, the display of 'A Never After Novel' series, including 'Scarred,' 'Wretched,' and 'Hooked,' was hard to ignore. They looked so intriguing! And to balance out all the intensity, I also stumbled upon 'Love & Gelato' by Jenna Evans Welch, which just screams summer vibes and sweet, lighthearted romance. Honestly, each trip to Barnes & Noble is an adventure. You go in for one thing, and come out with a treasure trove of stories. My biggest tip? Give yourself time to wander. You never know what exclusive edition or hidden gem you’ll discover. My bank account might be feeling the pinch, but the sheer joy of adding these incredible stories to my collection? Totally worth it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some serious reading to do!
