Ungatekeeping this affordable cafe in the North that serves delicious food 😍

Magic Kitchen – A humble eatery serving affordable Singaporean delights.

I tried their fried mee hoon, and wowwww it was surprisingly moist and delicious despite its simple appearance. I just wish they were a little more generous with the vegetarian goose crackers.

The laksa was my favourite! It came with chee cheong fun soaked in the gravy, which I think is a Malaysian style of serving it. It was flavourful and really satisfying.

Overall, I'd rate my experience 8/10. Do keep in mind that it can get a little warm as the eatery isn't air-conditioned. You may also have to wait a while for your food, as it was quite crowded even on a weekday afternoon.

The best part? 2 mains + 1 drink cost only $8! 🤯

Most importantly, they accept CDC Vouchers too🎉

... Read moreIf you're a fan of authentic Singaporean hawker food without breaking the bank, Magic Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. Besides the fried mee hoon and laksa mentioned, the menu also features various affordable treats like peanut thick toast and a range of refreshing drinks such as teh-o ping and iced milo, perfect for beating the tropical heat. I found the mixture of textures in the laksa particularly delightful—the chee cheong fun added a unique twist that made each bite satisfying and hearty. One thing to keep in mind is that the eatery is not air-conditioned, so visiting during less peak hours can help you avoid the crowd and heat. The friendly staff work hard despite the steady flow of customers, so some wait time is expected but totally worth it for the quality and prices. A bonus for budget-conscious diners: Magic Kitchen accepts CDC Vouchers, making it even more accessible to enjoy quality local flavors. Located conveniently at 529 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, it’s a hidden gem for anyone exploring affordable food options in the North. If you love trying new local dishes, don’t miss out on this little spot. Checking their Google listing for opening hours before you go is a good idea, as it can get quite busy even on weekdays. Overall, my experience here was very positive, offering great value and tasty food that made me eager to return!

This Spanish restaurant serves the best desserts
Go for their $38 lunch sets to try their desserts! I’d definitely getting the lava cake, cheesecake for desserts, wagyu short ribs and lobster rice for mains~ Dinner dishes are on the pricey side as they use really quality ingredients, but good if you want a special date night ✨ 📍Location
