The original post perfectly captures that feeling when you think you've broken some unwritten rule by posting *too much*. I totally get it – you're excited, you have ideas, and you want to share them constantly! I've definitely been there. There's this common belief among new creators, myself included, that more content equals more visibility. While consistency is key, there seems to be a sweet spot. I've noticed that when I upload several videos within a short hour, my engagement often drops across all of them. It's almost like TikTok gets overwhelmed or decides these aren't 'quality' posts requiring individual push. Some creators even talk about 'shadowbanning' or a 'content cooldown' period. My personal takeaway? Space out your posts! Instead of five videos in an hour, try one every few hours, or even one a day. It feels like the algorithm has more time to 'digest' and push each piece. But what about the other side of the coin? What if you don't post enough? This is something I've also experimented with (unintentionally, of course, life gets busy!). I've observed that if I go a week or two without posting anything, my subsequent videos, even if they're great, tend to perform significantly worse than when I'm consistently active. It's like the algorithm forgets about you a little! Your audience might not see your content as readily, and it takes a while to 're-engage' the system. It can be really disheartening to see your views plummet after a short break. So, what's a creator to do? From my own trial and error, I've found that consistency, rather than volume, is the real winner. Aim for a schedule you can realistically stick to. For me, that's usually 1-3 high-quality videos per day, spaced out throughout the day. I try not to post more than one per hour. If I have a bunch of ideas, I save them as drafts and schedule them for later. Also, don't forget interaction! Engaging with other creators' content and responding to comments on your own videos seems to signal to the algorithm that you're an active and valuable community member. It's not just about what you post, but how you participate. It's a tricky dance with the algorithm, but focusing on quality, consistency, and engagement has definitely helped me avoid those 'time out' moments!
