Spending summer days collecting shells is one of my favorite ways to connect with nature and unwind. When the UV index is as high as 9, it's essential to take precautions to protect your skin while soaking up the sun. I always make sure to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF and reapply it every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating. For shell collecting, timing your beach visit during low tide is ideal. This not only allows you to find more shells but also lets you witness the fascinating tide pools that are home to small sea creatures. I like to bring along a small bucket and a soft brush to gently clean the shells on site, so they're ready to display once I get home. Creating the perfect tan while avoiding sunburn means balancing time in the sun with seeking shade. Wearing a wide-brimmed hat and UV-protective sunglasses is part of my routine to keep comfortable and safe. After my beach day, I treat my skin with a nourishing moisturizer or aloe vera gel to soothe any sun exposure. Summer is also about relaxation and enjoying simple pleasures, such as listening to the waves, feeling the warm sand, and taking refreshing dips in the ocean. These experiences refresh both the body and soul, making summer a season to look forward to every year.
