Living with chronic illness like lupus and surviving stage 4 cancer profoundly changes one’s outlook on life. I have personally learned that every day is truly a gift, and maintaining a positive mindset can transform how we face hardships. Beyond the physical struggles, I have found immense purpose in connecting with others through social media—encouraging, praying, and sharing smiles with elderly friends and my wider community. Through my experiences, I’ve come to understand that true wealth isn’t about material possessions but relationships, compassion, and being a source of support and inspiration. Many people battling illness feel isolated, but I use my platforms to remind them—and myself—that we can be the "church outside of the church house," where love and acceptance prevail without judgment. Another valuable lesson has been recognizing the power of community in healing and motivation. Being a part of music fan communities and embracing hobbies like comedy have brought joy and connection during tough times. It’s essential to celebrate small wins and offer genuine encouragement because everyone is fighting their own battles. For anyone facing health challenges or life's difficulties, I encourage you to focus on what truly matters: love, support, and gratitude. Keep positive slogans like 'everyday is a gift' and 'don't sweat the small stuff' close to heart. Life can still be sweet and full of purpose, even amidst trials.
