I Outgrew Who I Pretended to Be
There was a time I performed peace instead of protecting it. Smiled through exhaustion. Agreed to things I didn’t have the capacity for. I shaped myself to fit into spaces that didn’t see me ….because I hadn’t fully seen myself yet.
But I’m not her anymore.
I outgrew the version of me that played small, stayed silent, and carried what wasn’t mine.
Now? I take up space. I say no with ease. I move in purpose, not performance.
This growth is personal. It’s spiritual. It’s mine.
And I’m not shrinking back.
