The Storm BEFORE the calm!

Hey family! Hope y’all are doing well ❤️. Tonight, I’m reflecting on my pastor’s message from today, The Storm Before the Calm, and whew—this word hit DEEP! 🔥
Y’all ever been in a STORM 🌪️ and felt like God was SILENT? Like, "Lord, do you even SEE what I’m going through?" The disciples felt that SAME way when they were in the boat with Jesus, and He was literally SLEEPING 😴 while the storm raged. They panicked 🚨, but Jesus? He stayed CALM. Why? Because He KNEW who was in CONTROL ✨.
Here’s the question—when storms hit your life, where do YOU run first? 🤔 Do you run to GOD 🙏🏽 or to GOOGLE 📱? To FAITH 🙌🏽 or to FEAR 😨? To PRAYER 🙏🏽 or to DISTRACTION 🏃🏽♀️? So the Disciples running to Jesus was definitely the right thing to do, but there were others lessons to be learned from this situation!
💡 The truth is, storms WILL come. But here’s what Jesus showed us:
1️⃣ HE IS IN THE BOAT WITH YOU 🚤 – If Jesus is in your life, you are NEVER alone. Even in the storm, He is THERE. 💛 (Psalm 46:1-2)
2️⃣ FAITH > FEAR 💪🏽 – If Jesus is at REST, we should be too! Don’t let what’s happening around you shake the FAITH inside you. (Matthew 8:23-27)
3️⃣ STORMS HAVE A PURPOSE 🌱 – They grow you, stretch you, and show you GOD in ways you’ve never seen before. (Romans 8:28)
So instead of praying for storm-FREE seasons, let’s pray for storm-PROOF FAITH. The kind of faith that stands STRONG when the winds blow 🌬️. Because with Jesus? The storm may come, but the storm won’t WIN! 🙌🏽

In times of trial, many find themselves questioning their faith and seeking answers to the challenges they face. The phrase 'The Storm Before the Calm' illustrates a profound spiritual truth: storms in life are inevitable, yet they offer an opportunity for growth and deeper understanding of our relationship with God. When we face difficulties, it's crucial to remember that we are not alone. Psalm 46:1-2 reminds us that God is a refuge and strength, always present in times of trouble. Taking inspiration from the disciples' experience with Jesus during a storm, we can learn to shift our focus from fear to faith. When life's challenges arise, rather than succumbing to anxiety, we should lean into our faith. Matthew 8:23-27 teaches us that faith triumphs over fear; just as Jesus remained calm during the storm, we too can find peace in the middle of chaos. It's also essential to recognize that storms serve a purpose. Romans 8:28 assures us that all things work together for good for those who love God. Challenges can stretch our faith, teach us reliance on God, and reveal His power in our lives. Rather than pray for an absence of storms, we should seek a 'storm-proof' faith that stands strong regardless of circumstances. Embrace the journey through each storm, for they lead to greater resilience and a deeper connection with God.
