He’s speaking, but can you hear?!

Hey fam! Good evening and blessings to you!

So yesterday we talked about how GOD STILL SPEAKS🗣️. But just because HE’S TALKING doesn’t mean we’re HEARING👂🏾. Sometimes the problem isn’t God’s silence…it’s our VOLUME🔊.

Let’s be real—our lives are NOISY📣! Phones ringing📱, to-do lists piling up📝, people needing us🙋🏾‍♀️, and thoughts racing💭. And in all of that, we MISS God’s WHISPER🕊️. But the HOLY SPIRIT is a GENTLE voice, and you’ve got to TUNE IN🎧 to hear Him.

And here’s the truth—we’ve got to LEARN HOW TO QUIET OURSELVES🧘🏾‍♀️. That means quieting our MINDS, our EMOTIONS, and our EXPECTATIONS so we can actually hear God clearly. It takes PRACTICE, y’all. We are naturally distracted human beings. There’s always something pulling at us—news, notifications, noise. But tuning in to the Lord requires INTENTIONAL STILLNESS⏳.

So how do we stop missing Him?

1️⃣ PRAY🙏🏾—not just when things are BAD, but like He’s your BEST FRIEND🤎. Make it a HABIT⏰, not a HELPLINE🆘.

2️⃣ READ GOD’S WORD📖—because if you don’t KNOW what He sounds like🗣️, you’ll miss His VOICE📢.

3️⃣ LIVE FOR HIM👣—your WALK🚶🏾‍♀️ matters. You can’t be out here chasing the WORLD🌎 and expect to hear the KING👑.

Y’all, God wants to SPEAK🗣️ to you, GUIDE🧭 you, and give you PEACE☁️…but you’ve got to be CONNECTED🔌. Don’t let DISTRACTIONS📵 be the reason you miss your ASSIGNMENT📂.

Begin by creating a dedicated prayer journal. Writing down your prayers not only organizes thoughts but also helps in recognizing patterns in God's responses. A prayer journal acts like a spiritual roadmap, assisting in tracking your spiritual journey and growth. Additionally, incorporate moments of silence into your routine. Whether it’s during a morning coffee or on a quiet evening, these moments can become sacred spaces for listening. Practicing mindfulness techniques can further assist in quieting your mind, allowing greater receptivity to divine guidance. Engaging with community prayers or attending spiritual retreats can also deepen your ability to discern God’s voice. Lastly, remember that persistence is key. Like any meaningful relationship, the more you invest in your communication, the closer you grow to the one guiding your life.
