Out of Order Faith?
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Hey family!! 👋🏾 I wanna ask you a question that might catch you off guard a little bit… ARE YOU OUT OF ORDER⁉️😳 And no, I don’t mean rude 😤 or reckless 🤦🏾♀️. I mean — is your LOVE 💕 for God operating out of ORDER🛑?
Some folks follow Jesus because they’re SCARED of Him 😨 — scared of punishment ⚖️, scared of His wrath 😠, scared of messing up ⛔️. So, they PERFORM 🧍🏾♂️. They go through the motions 🙃 — read the Bible 📖, serve at church ⛪️, obey the rules ✔️— all because they’re afraid of the CONSEQUENCES 😬. But y’all… that’s not what God wants 💔.
He wants your OBEDIENCE to be driven by LOVE 💗 not by FEAR 😰. Think about it… when you deeply LOVE someone — your spouse 💍, your kids 🧒🏾, your best friend 🫶🏾 — you want to make them HAPPY 😊. You serve them 🙏🏾, protect them 🛡️, and go out of your way to CARE ❤️ for them. You don’t do it because you’re afraid of what’ll happen if you don’t… You do it because you love them 💞.
God wants THAT kind of relationship with YOU 🫵🏾. A HEART ❤️ posture that says, “I worship You 🙌🏾 because I love You.” Not “I obey You because I’m scared.” Take a minute tonight 🌃 and really examine your MOTIVES 🧐. Are you following Him out of LOVE 💞… or out of FEAR 😧?
Ask God 🙏🏾 to SHIFT your heart if it’s out of order. Let LOVE 🔥 be the reason behind every YES you give Him 💯.

Many individuals approach their faith with a sense of fear rather than love. This mentality often stems from a desire to avoid punishment or negative outcomes, leading to a performance-based relationship with God. In this view, engaging in religious practices such as attending church, reading scripture, and obeying commandments becomes a means of appeasing fear. However, God desires more than mere performance; He seeks genuine love and connection. When we approach God out of love, our actions are motivated by a deep desire to please and honor Him, similar to how we cherish and care for loved ones. This love-centric approach fosters a more profound and meaningful relationship with God, where obedience flows naturally from our hearts rather than out of fear or obligation. To cultivate this transformative love, it's essential to meditate on scriptures like 1 John 4:18, which reminds us that perfect love casts out fear. By spending time in prayer and self-reflection, we can examine our motives and ask God to align our hearts with His will. Instead of fearing punishment, we can grow in our understanding of God's grace and love, allowing Him to guide us towards a fulfilling spiritual journey. Embrace the notion that a heart rooted in love stands firm against fear, leading us to a sincere devotion to God.
