Not Everyone Is Like That!
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Hey y’all 🌙💛—I gotta share a little TESTIMONY tonight that brought me face to face with my own PESSIMISM 😩. I LOST a bracelet my husband gave me and immediately jumped to the worst-case scenario 🤦🏾♀️. “It’s gone forever,” I told myself. “Nobody’s turning that in.” 😤
But the Holy Spirit nudged me: “Call the LAST place you were.” So I did. Y’all... the manager answered and said she had it AND was holding it for me 😳! And before I could even get a PRAISE out, the Holy Spirit whispered, “SEE... not EVERYONE is how you imagine. You’ve been EXPECTING the worst instead of believing for GOOD.”
Talk about a heart check 💔. God had to show me that my thoughts were PRIDEFUL 🙅🏾♀️—acting like I’m the only one who does right 🙃. The TRUTH is, there are STILL people doing what’s HONORABLE 🙌🏾, and I need to GIVE THANKS for them instead of assuming the worst all the time.
So tonight I REPENTED. I asked God to help me RENEW my mind 🧠 and to stop projecting FEAR where FAITH should be 💡. There is more RIGHTEOUSNESS around us than we realize 💖. We just gotta be willing to SEE IT and PRAISE GOD when we do 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
📖 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. —Romans 12:21
📖 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. —Psalm 51:10

Hey spiritual journey fam! We’ve all been there, right? That nagging feeling that no matter how genuinely you try to live your truth, not everyone's going to be on your side, or even 'like' you. It’s a universal human experience, and honestly, it can be really tough on the heart. This feeling brings me back to the profound 'heart check' I shared about losing my precious bracelet. In that moment, filled with immediate disappointment and cynicism, I was so quick to assume the worst about *others*. My mind jumped straight to 'nobody’s turning that in,' projecting my own pessimism onto the world. But then, the mirror flips, doesn't it? Sometimes, we find ourselves worrying endlessly about what others might be assuming about *us*, or why we might not be universally 'liked.' And you know what? That's truly okay. This is a lesson I’m continually learning and re-learning. Just as I discovered that there's far more goodness and integrity around us than my pessimistic mind initially allowed for, I've also come to deeply understand that our inherent worth isn't, and shouldn't be, determined by everyone's approval. It’s a tough pill to swallow, especially when we’re bombarded by social media metrics and a culture that often praises external validation above all else. The Holy Spirit really nudged me that night, teaching me to renew my mind and intentionally stop projecting fear where faith should be. That powerful lesson extends beyond just judging others; it absolutely applies to how we perceive ourselves when faced with perceived disapproval or when we navigate the reality that some people simply won't connect with us. If God sees us as uniquely made and worthy, then why are we so quick to let others' fleeting opinions or perceived 'dislikes' define our spirit or dim our light? Instead of dwelling on who might not 'like' us, what if we intentionally shifted our focus? What if we poured that energy into living authentically, with unwavering integrity and genuine kindness, just as the Bible encourages us? The truth is, every single person has their own unique perspectives, their own past experiences, and their own spiritual journey. Sometimes, someone's lack of 'liking' us has far more to do with their own internal landscape than it does with anything we've done. It’s about learning to set healthy boundaries, understanding that you genuinely cannot please everyone, and finding deep, abiding peace in the unique path God has laid out for you. My lost bracelet taught me to pause and give thanks for the honorable, good-hearted people in the world. Similarly, it's vital that we give thanks for our own unique selves, the gifts we bring, and the good we strive to contribute, regardless of external opinions. It’s about diligently building an inner fortress of self-acceptance, rooted in faith and divine love. When you truly believe in the goodness within yourself, and trust in God's perfect plan for your life, the sometimes-harsh opinions of others start to hold significantly less power over your peace. So, if you're ever feeling down because 'not everyone will like you,' remember my testimony. Just as I had to repent for my own prideful, pessimistic assumptions about humanity, sometimes we need to repent for letting external negativity or the fear of disapproval dim our inner light and distract us from our purpose. Renew your mind, embrace your true, divinely created self, and let faith continue to guide every step. There's immense freedom, joy, and peace in realizing that your journey is uniquely yours, and your inherent worth is divinely given, not crowd-sourced. Keep shining your beautiful, authentic light; because the right people will see it, and most importantly, God always does. Let's strive to overcome any self-doubt or external negativity with good, just as Romans 12:21 beautifully teaches us to overcome evil with good.
