Hey family 🌙🤎! I hope your evening is filled with REST🛋️ and PEACE🕊️. Last week, while tidying up, I came across an OLD📓 journal from 15 YEARS📅 ago. At first, I brushed it off 🤷🏾♀️. But later, I opened it… and what I read stopped me in my tracks 🚦. The HOLY SPIRIT🕊️ spoke so clearly: “Sometimes it’s GOOD✅ to LOOK BACK👀 so you can SEE how far you’ve COME🏆.”
We hear a lot about forgetting the past 🚫—and yes, we should leave behind sin, guilt, and shame. But there’s another side to this. LOOKING BACK🔍 in the right way is like tracing GOD’S FINGERPRINTS✋🏾 across your story. As I read page after page, I SAW👁️ prayers I once prayed 🙏🏾, battles I once faced ⚔️, and tears I once cried 😢—and then I saw how GOD ANSWERED📬.
That’s why it’s IMPORTANT💡 to pause, reflect, and remember. God told Israel to set up memorial stones 🪨 so future generations would KNOW what He had done (Joshua 4:6–7). Your journal, your memories, even your old notes, can be reminders that GOD IS FAITHFUL💯.
When I closed that journal, I couldn’t help but WORSHIP🙌🏾. Looking back the RIGHT way strengthens your FAITH💪🏾, increases your GRATITUDE❤️, and deepens your PRAISE👏🏾.
