Hate is LOUD, but LOVE is LOUDER!!!
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Good evening friends 🤍🌙
Tonight’s devotion stirred something DEEP 🫀🕊️. I watched a woman online share how BROKEN 😢 she felt after being ATTACKED 💥📱 for simply sharing her LIFE. Not her OPINIONS 🗣️. Not her ARGUMENTS ⚔️. Just her food, her family, her JOY 😊.
And I thought about how easy it is for people to be CRUEL 😡 when there’s a SCREEN between them and another HUMAN 👤💔. The Holy Spirit gently said to me 🕊️✨, hurt people often PROJECT their pain 🎯😔. Sometimes that pain shows up as JEALOUSY 😒, COMPARISON 👀, and BITTERNESS 🌱➡️☣️.
Jealousy is just ADMIRATION that went BAD 💔. Instead of learning, growing, or being INSPIRED 🌱✨, some people choose to DESTROY 🧱 with words. But the Bible reminds us that LIFE and DEATH are in the POWER of the TONGUE 🗣️⚖️. That means what we type MATTERS 📲🛑.
To those who are SHARING publicly and receiving HATE 😔🫂, please hear this: WHAT THEY SAY is NOT WHO YOU ARE 🚫🪞. It says more about THEIR HEART ❤️🩹 than your VALUE 💎.
And for the rest of us, here’s the SIMPLE challenge 🧠🙏🏾: if you don’t like it, SCROLL 🖐️📱. If it doesn’t bless you, MOVE ON 🚶🏾♀️➡️. We are called to LOVE ONE ANOTHER 💕, not POLICE people’s joy 🚨😤.
Let’s be DIFFERENT 🌟. Let’s reflect JESUS ✝️ in how we speak, post, and respond 🙌🏾🕊️.
🕊️Scriptures to Meditate On🙏🏾
• Proverbs 18:21 – Life and death are in the power of the tongue.
• Ephesians 4:29 – Speak what builds others up.
• Luke 6:45 – “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”

Experiencing online hate can be incredibly disheartening, especially when what we share is simply our everyday joys—our food, family, and moments of happiness. I’ve personally noticed how quick some people are to dish out harsh criticism and unkind words, hidden behind the safety of a screen. During difficult times facing online attacks, I found comfort in reminding myself that these harsh comments often reflect the speaker’s own struggles, hurt, or envy rather than revealing any truth about me. This aligns with the idea that “life and death are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21), reminding us that words hold great power to either build up or tear down. To protect my peace, I practice the simple strategy mentioned in the article: when encountering negativity, I choose to scroll past or move on instead of engaging. This helps me maintain focus on positive content that nurtures my spirit. It’s also helpful to remember Ephesians 4:29, which encourages speaking only what builds others up—words that promote healing and encouragement. Reflecting on the hashtags shared, such as #LoveLikeJesus and #WordsBuild, I’ve started challenging myself daily to project love rather than respond with frustration. This mindset shift has helped me transform my outlook and interactions online, making social media a more uplifting space for me and those in my community. Ultimately, when facing online hate, leaning on faith and choosing love as a response not only protects our hearts but also inspires others to act with kindness. We’re all human and imperfect, but by reflecting Jesus’ love in how we speak and react, we can create a ripple effect that counters hate with hope and encouragement.
