STOP!! How Did All Of This Get Here??
Let’s pray 🙏🏾 and get this day underway♥️!
Good morning, my blessed family. ☀️👋🏾
Most people have heard GENESIS 1:1 📖 whether they believe in God or not: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” But if we really slow down and think about that verse, it stops being a simple sentence and starts becoming something ASTONISHING 🤯.
We wake up every day surrounded by things that just ARE. Our homes 🏠. Our bodies 🧍🏾♀️. The sky above us ☁️. The ground beneath us 🌎. We rarely stop and ask the deeper question: HOW DID ALL OF THIS GET HERE? 🤔
When you really think about it, creation itself starts pointing somewhere. The ORDER 🌿. The COMPLEXITY 🧠. The DESIGN 🔬. Your body alone is a masterpiece of INTENTIONAL CREATION 🙌🏾. And beyond the physical world, many of us have experienced something even deeper: SPIRITUAL MOMENTS ✨. Encounters with God that we can’t explain away.
That is why GENESIS 1:1 is so powerful. It reminds us that God is the BEGINNING 🔑. He is the SOURCE 💡. He is the CREATOR 👑. Nothing exists apart from Him.
And when you keep reading the story of Scripture, you discover something even more beautiful: everything was created THROUGH JESUS CHRIST ✝️.
So don’t let this verse feel small. It is the STARTING POINT 🧭 of understanding who God is and who YOU are. When we begin with God, everything else in life starts making SENSE 🙏🏾.

Reflecting on the origins of everything around us can be a deeply transformative experience. In my own daily life, I often find that pausing to consider the complexity of even the simplest things—like the intricate design of the human body or the remarkable order of nature—brings about a sense of awe and gratitude. This aligns closely with the thoughts inspired by Genesis 1:1, where recognizing God as the Creator encourages us to see beyond the surface and appreciate the intentionality behind all existence. One aspect that really strikes me is the spiritual connection that often accompanies this realization. Many of us have moments where we feel a presence or experience peace that cannot be explained by logic alone. These moments reinforce faith and give deeper meaning to our understanding of creation. Furthermore, the prayer highlighted in the article beautifully captures a personal devotion to God’s care and purpose. It serves as a reminder that despite the vastness of creation, we are personally known and loved by God. This has been comforting in times of uncertainty, knowing that the Creator who designed the universe is also intricately involved in my life. As someone who seeks to blend faith with reason, I find that exploring scriptures such as John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:16 enriches this perspective. They emphasize that all things were made through Jesus Christ, reinforcing the unity between the spiritual and the material worlds. In practice, incorporating moments of prayer and meditation on these truths helps ground my day with purpose and hope. It encourages me to reflect God's love and power in everyday interactions, fostering a deeper appreciation for the origins of life and the sustaining presence of God. I encourage others to slow down, ask the profound question ‘How did all of this get here?’ and explore the answers that faith and reason together can offer.
