The Lie We’ve Been Sold About Greatness
Let’s pray 🙏🏾 and get this day underway♥️!
Good morning, my blessed family ☀️🙌🏾❤️
As I sat with Matthew 20:28 today, it hit me fresh… Jesus didn’t come to be SERVED 🙅🏾♀️—He came to SERVE 🤲🏾. That flips everything our CULTURE teaches 📺💼. The world says climb higher, gain STATUS, be in CHARGE 👑… but JESUS shows us that TRUE GREATNESS is found in HUMILITY 🙇🏾♀️ and SERVICE ❤️.
He WASHED feet 🦶🏾. He HEALED the broken 🤕. He FED the hungry 🍞. He SERVED people who didn’t even honor Him back 😔. That’s LOVE in ACTION ❤️🔥.
If we’re really following CHRIST ✝️, we can’t just SEEK to be seen 👀—we must BE WILLING to SERVE 🤲🏾. Ask yourself today… where can I SHOW UP in LOVE ❤️? Who NEEDS my HELP 🤝🏾? Where is GOD calling me to LOWER myself so HE can be LIFTED ⬆️?
Because SERVICE is not small… it is SACRED 🙏🏾. And JESUS proved it when He gave His LIFE 💔➡️❤️.

Reflecting on the message about true greatness being found in humility and service, I’ve come to appreciate how countercultural this idea really is. In today’s society, success is often measured by status, power, and recognition. But when I focus on Jesus’ life, especially through scriptures like Matthew 20:28 and John 13:14–15 where He washes His disciples’ feet, I realize that true leadership and influence come from serving others selflessly. In my own experience, embracing a mindset of service has transformed how I relate to people around me. Instead of seeking to be seen or praised, I’ve found fulfillment in acts of kindness and support, whether it’s helping a neighbor or listening to a friend in need. These moments feel sacred, as though I’m living the teaching that service is not small but holy. The prayer captured in the article resonates deeply with me — asking for awareness to recognize those who need help and praying for the grace to serve without expecting anything in return. This has helped me stay grounded and focused on love as an action, not just a feeling. I am learning that humility doesn’t mean weakness; it means lifting others up and allowing God’s purpose to shine through our willingness to serve. For anyone seeking greatness beyond worldly measures, I encourage reflecting on where you can show up in love today. It might be in simple, quiet ways that don’t get noticed but make a profound difference. Aligning our daily actions with the example of Jesus serving others reshapes our hearts and priorities, leading us to a more meaningful and impactful life.
