Don’t Let Pride Block Your Breakthrough!
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Good evening my blessed and beautiful family! 💛👋🏾
I had to sit with this one… can I truly receive CORRECTION 🛑🙏🏾 without letting my PRIDE 🚫 rise up?
Because sometimes the very thing God is using to BLESS us 🎁 comes wrapped in a REBUKE 📖⚔️.
We say we want TRANSFORMATION 🔄, we say we want to be more like CHRIST ✝️… but that requires being CORRECTED 🙌🏾. And not just by God directly, but through PEOPLE 🤝🏾 He places in our lives.
The Word says FAITHFUL are the wounds of a friend 💔➡️❤️. That means real LOVE doesn’t always feel good.
Yes, we should PRAY 🙏🏾 before correcting someone. Yes, we should lead with LOVE ❤️ and WISDOM 🧠. But we cannot AVOID what God has COMMANDED 📖.
And on the flip side… we must stay HUMBLE 🙏🏾 enough to RECEIVE it.
Don’t let your FEELINGS 😩 block your HEALING 💫. Don’t let PRIDE 🚫 delay your PURPOSE 🎯.

In my personal journey, I have found that pride often disguises itself as self-protection—making it difficult to accept correction, even when it’s meant to help us grow. The phrase "how dare he tell me the TRUTH!!!" perfectly captures that initial resistance many feel. But embracing correction as an act of love, rather than a personal attack, has been a game-changer for me. The Bible teaches that "faithful are the wounds of a friend" (Proverbs 27:6), which reminded me that genuine care sometimes comes in uncomfortable forms. When someone points out blind spots in my life, I try to pause and ask myself whether my pride is standing in the way of my growth. It’s not easy, but leaning into humility helps me transform that rebuke into a blessing. I’ve also learned the importance of prayer before giving or receiving correction—praying for wisdom, clarity, and a heart that both leads with love and remains open to change. This spiritual practice softens the heart and turns what might initially feel like criticism into a breakthrough moment. Receiving correction from God through others is part of our spiritual maturity journey. It pushes us to shed ego and align more closely with Christ’s example. Every time I resist pride and accept correction, I feel closer to my true purpose—learning, healing, and growing in faith. So if you’re struggling with pride blocking your breakthrough, remember that your feelings don’t have to block your healing. Stay humble, stay prayerful, and allow God to use rebuke as a tool to draw you nearer to the transformation He desires for you. This mindset shift can open doors to new blessings and spiritual growth you never imagined possible.
