You Got It, So Give It!
Let’s pray 🙏🏾 and get this day underway♥️!
Hey my blessed family 👋🏾❤️ Good morning! Today’s word hit me RIGHT IN THE HEART. Matthew 5:7 reminds us that the MERCIFUL🙏🏾 will receive MERCY🙏🏾. And let’s be real — a lot of folks think showing MERCY means being a DOORMAT🧹 or letting people walk all over you🚶🏾♂️🚶🏾♀️. But that’s NOT what GOD meant. MERCY is a CHOICE💡 — a COUNTER‑CULTURAL response that refuses to mirror the world’s VENOM🐍.
We live in a time where the world says, “If you hurt me, I’ll hurt you worse.”💥 But JESUS calls us to be SET APART✨. MERCY is choosing to respond with GRACE🌱 when everything in you wants to clap back🙅🏾♀️🔥. And why do we do it? Because WE RECEIVED MERCY FIRST🙌🏾. Christ showed us UNMATCHED MERCY on the CROSS✝️ even when we were His enemies😔.
So today, when you face that moment — that choice — remember: YOU WERE SHOWN MERCY, so now you SHOW MERCY💛. And God promises that the MERCIFUL will receive MERCY again and again🔁.

Mercy often gets misunderstood as weakness, but in reality, it is one of the strongest and most freeing choices we can make. From my own experience, choosing mercy over retaliation has brought me unexpected peace and growth. When someone wrongs us, the natural impulse is often to respond with anger or hurt. However, actively deciding to offer mercy instead not only breaks harmful cycles but also aligns us with a higher spiritual calling. The prayer shared in the article beautifully captures how mercy isn’t just about the actions we take toward others but also about embodying the nature of God within us. This merciful spirit becomes visible when we offer forgiveness, understanding, and kindness to those around us—even when it feels undeserved. This intentional practice has helped me develop a deeper ability to empathize and connect authentically with people in challenging situations. One impactful moment was when I faced a difficult relationship, and instead of reacting with bitterness, I prayed for the grace to show mercy. That simple act profoundly shifted the dynamic and opened avenues for healing that never seemed possible. The encouragement from scriptures like Ephesians 2:4–5 and Titus 3:5 reminds us that mercy is rooted in God’s love and His redemption story, inspiring us to extend that same mercy. In day-to-day life, mercy can manifest in small but meaningful ways: choosing patience on a frustrating day, forgiving the mistakes of loved ones, or offering understanding to strangers. This choice to reflect God’s mercy not only blesses others but returns blessings to us, reinforcing our faith walk and kingdom living. Truly, mercy is a gift we receive so we can freely give it, transforming both giver and receiver. By embracing mercy as a counter-cultural response, we stand apart from worldly cycles of revenge and instead become beacons of hope and grace. The commitment to mercy deepens as our faith grows, revealing God’s nature more clearly through our actions. Ultimately, choosing mercy is about embodying the heart of Jesus—the ultimate example of undeserved grace—and inviting that same mercy to flow in our lives continuously.
