First Breakfast of The New Year
It’s been years since I’ve had Apple Butter, this is by far better than jelly 😩😆!! But this was super quick, zummos sausage straight in the air fryer & eggs and grits super easy and quick.
My goal is to maintain momentum, with saving money on food. The door dashes and pit stops are ridiculously expensive. Cheers to being more intentional in regards to that. #newyear #goodmorming
Starting the New Year with fresh habits is all about setting yourself up for success, and for me, that begins with breakfast. While my air fryer sausage and grits are a go-to for speed, I've found that embracing a 'fresh inspiration' mindset in the kitchen doesn't just nourish my body, but also truly uplifts my spirit for the day ahead. It's amazing how a simple, wholesome meal can contribute to that feeling of 'pure freshness' that we all crave, especially when we're trying to maintain momentum. Beyond just the food, I've been focusing on how to make these routines truly sustainable and budget-friendly. Those DoorDash cravings are real, but the dent they make in my wallet isn't worth it! So, I've explored various strategies to keep my pantry stocked with affordable staples that can be whipped into delicious meals in minutes. For instance, sometimes I'll prep overnight oats with fresh berries and a sprinkle of nuts – it’s literally five minutes of work the night before, and you wake up to a breakfast that feels luxurious but costs pennies. Another personal favorite is a quick scrambled tofu with some pre-chopped veggies; it’s packed with protein and keeps me full for hours without the temptation of costly takeout. To truly elevate that feeling of 'freshness' in my morning routine, I've also been experimenting with refreshing beverages. While a warm cup of coffee is comforting, sometimes I crave something lighter and more invigorating. That's where something like a homemade SUPER FRUIT PUNCH comes in! Blending fresh or frozen fruits like berries, a squeeze of lemon, and a touch of honey or agave creates a vibrant, naturally sweet drink that feels incredibly energizing. It's a fantastic way to hydrate and get those essential vitamins, contributing to that overall sense of well-being and clear-headedness that helps me tackle my day with 'fresh inspiration'. Saving money on food isn't just about cooking at home; it's about smart shopping and meal planning. I've learned to love my grocery list and stick to it, avoiding impulse buys. Buying in-season produce, utilizing frozen options, and cooking larger batches to portion out for the week have been game-changers. This intentional approach not only keeps my budget in check but also reduces food waste, which feels good on so many levels. It's a small change that offers big daily wins, letting me channel that saved money into other areas of my life without sacrificing delicious, nutritious meals. Ultimately, embracing these new habits around food and mornings has given me a renewed sense of purpose and control. It's not just about what's on my plate, but the whole ritual that contributes to a more mindful, energetic start. So, if you're looking for ways to infuse more 'pure freshness' and 'fresh inspiration' into your own daily life, starting with a simple, budget-friendly breakfast routine might just be the perfect first step. It's a small investment of time that pays off in big dividends for your overall well-being and financial goals.
