CREAMY MEAT SAUCE LASAGNA 🍝
Meal prep is looking a little different lately while I'm busy growing our very first baby 🤍🤰🏼
I'll still be posting and sharing recipes, but bear with me, it's going to look a little different for now!
Once baby is here and I enter my postpartum weight-loss era, l'll be getting back into my healthy meal preps and working toward losing weight again. For now, we're just enjoying the food and growing this baby.
When I was pregnant, meal prepping became an essential part of managing my time and nutrition, especially craving hearty, comforting dishes like creamy meat sauce lasagna. What I loved about this recipe is how it balances rich flavors with the convenience of store-bought sauces without sacrificing taste. The use of oven-ready lasagna noodles simplified the process, cutting down prep time drastically. One tip I found really helpful was the resting period after baking. Letting the lasagna sit for 15-20 minutes before cutting allowed it to set up perfectly, preventing it from falling apart and helping the noodles soak up just the right amount of moisture. This step makes a big difference in the texture and presentation. Since pregnancy often brings about the need for nutrient-dense meals, adding Italian seasonings and garlic powder to the ground beef gave the meat sauce a robust flavor while keeping it wholesome. Pairing the meaty sauce with creamy Alfredo and ricotta cheese added that lusciousness every lasagna lover craves. I also appreciated that this recipe is family-friendly and freezes well, making it an excellent option not just for pregnancy but for anyone looking to meal prep in advance. It’s a comforting, satisfying meal that brings warmth and joy, especially when you’re focused on nurturing both yourself and your growing baby.
