Should you buy Beats Solo 3 in 2024?
I haven’t had a pair of Beats Solo 3 since 2019 so it has been a good minute. My first pair of beats solos 3 were black and the sound quality was clear but LOW and I mean LOW!! Well now in 2024 I have another pair and I’m completely shock because they don’t sound low at all and the bass is good!
There are only two major cons to these headphones. 1st con is depending on how big your ears are the ear pads may be uncomfortable for certain people because they are small and tight fitting. For me they fit my ears just right but everyone don’t have the same ears so that’s why I say it’s a con.
Second con is they do sound leak if u turn them all the way up to max volume the person next to you can hear everything. If you turn them halfway up the person next to you will hear the bass and muffled lyrics depending on the song you’re playing. (For me this not really a problem because AirPods sound leak also😭).

And for battery health, try not to constantly drain them to 0% or leave them plugged in at 100% for extended periods. These small habits can really add years to your solo3 experience. Compared to other brands like Skullcandy, JBL, or Sony, where do Beats Solo 3 stand in terms of longevity? It's tough to give a definitive answer without extensive testing, but anecdotally, Beats tend to sit in the mid-to-upper range for consumer-grade headphones. Skullcandy can be a bit more varied; some models are surprisingly robust, others less so. JBL and Sony typically offer strong contenders in durability, often focusing on robust build quality. I think the Rose gold Beats Solo 3, with their solid construction and comfortable design, hold their own quite well. So, considering durability, are they still a smart purchase in 2024? I'd say yes, especially if you appreciate their sound profile and iconic style. For the price point, you're getting a reliable pair of headphones that, with a little care, will accompany you through many daily activities. While battery technology has advanced, the core experience and build quality of the Solo 3 still deliver for everyday users looking for a stylish and portable audio solution.
