Y’all I’m shaking. I don’t even know how to process this.
We had a group project due this week and my partner straight up ghosted me for most of it. No updates. No drafts. Nothing. Then, the night before it’s due, she finally sends her part fully done and it’s giving ChatGPT energy HARD. Like paragraphs that repeat themselves, no citations, some lines sounded like a motivational quote poster?? I knew something was off but I was exhausted and just submitted the whole thing so we wouldn’t both get zero.
Next day, boom our professor flags the project for suspected AI use. I didn’t panic because I wrote my section completely on my own. But then I find out SHE SENT AN EMAIL TO THE PROFESSOR SAYING I TOLD HER TO USE CHATGPT.
I can’t even make this up. She literally wrote, “My partner encouraged me to use AI since we were running out of time.”
Girl. Be so for real. You didn’t even talk to me. Now I’m being called in for an academic honesty violation, and she’s acting like the victim. I’m fighting for my degree while she’s out here rewriting history.
Like I’m honestly heartbroken. I’ve never cheated. I actually cared about this class. And now my reputation’s on the line because of her bad decisions.

You’re going to have to advocate for yourself and please stand on your business. There’s clearly a difference between your slides and her own. One is AI generated the other isn’t. The one that isnt isn’t is clearly yours. There wasn’t a “we” were running out of time, SHE was running out of time.
