I’ve been seeing TikToks lately about glitches in the matrix, portal jumping, and stories that just don’t make sense. They made me think of two events that happened to me and a friend of mine, and I thought I’d share them too. I’ll be posting each story separately, and this is the first one.
Back in 2016, I had an experience that, to this day, I can’t explain. At the time, it was confusing, unsettling, and left my friend and me completely shaken.
My friend (I’ll keep their name private out of respect) and I used to go ghost hunting for fun. One night, we decided to check out a school at the far end of a long main road near my old apartment. This road was lined with houses, and between every few houses, there was an alleyway.
We walked the length of the street, all the way to the school. But when we got there, we realized the entire place was fenced off. Since we couldn’t get in, we decided to head back, this time walking down the opposite side of the street.
As we passed by a couple of alleyways, my friend suddenly stopped. They said they felt a weird energy coming from the second alley and wanted to check it out, maybe try an EVP session. So, we walked down that alleyway together.
Here’s where things get really strange. We walked straight through the alley, nothing unusual, but when we came out the other side, we weren’t where we should’ve been. Somehow, we had jumped four or five alleyways down, all the way to the last alley by the park.
We were completely disoriented. We stood there, trying to make sense of it, but nothing added up. We knew we’d only gone through the second alley, there was no doubt about it. And yet, here we were, at the other end of the street.
To this day, we can’t explain what happened. There was no logical way for us to end up where we did. The only thing we can think of is that, for whatever reason, we stepped through… something. A portal? A glitch in the matrix? I don’t know. All I know is, that moment left us questioning everything.
